The 17th Karmapa

Today I went to a public talk by the 17th KARMAPA, who is in Toronto for a couple of days. He spoke about mindfulness and the environment. The best thing he said was that we live in the times of CONSUMERISM V/S SUSTAINABILITY, and if we don't take responsibility for ourselves, each other and our environment, the natural resources of the earth will disappear sooner rather than later. Scientific discoveries are not enough we need to also become ethical human beings.
Corporations, unlike former smaller businesses, are no longer satisfied with happy profit margins, they want massive profit margins which sucks the life blood out of people and the land. Who will curb their greed? Only the government has that power, but it is a fight between David and Goliath. Only a mass rebellion of the people and support for the government can accomplish this.
It is interesting because I am writing articles about Earth, Space, and the Resources. Thanks for your post my dear friend @elewarne
