Jack a primeira pessoa sabe de combinar o soco direto do balanço da junta circular, para criar o gancho. No início, não havia nome para ele, e ele chamou de "golpe curvo de Broughton".

No karatê, muitas outras artes, houve um balanço que veio em um círculo e bateu com os nós dos dedos.
