CARAGAN FESTIVAL
Caragan Festival Held every 3rd or 4th week of February as part of the month-long celebration of the town Fiesta of Mabalacat, Pampanga.
This festival named after the first chieftain of Mabalacat town who is a native Aeta married to a Mabalaquena named Laureana Tolentino.
Highlight of the event is the celebration of the traditional Aeta culture. The Aetas are well known for their dances as part of their celebration of their struggles and triumphs.
Schools (Elementary and High School / College Division) will participate in the cultural dance interpretations with their colorful costumes, head dress that are made of indigenous materials.
The parade and street dance start from Poblacion, McArthur Highway to Xevera in Tabun to highlight the Aeta. One of the origin inhabitants of town..
