Candace Owens on Taylor Swift vs. Kanye West
Candace Owens has really made a splash in politics over the past two years. She has set herself apart as a free thinker, someone who goes against the grain and someone who is not afraid to argue her view to anyone who would challenge it. Recently at an event put on by her employer, Turning Point USA Ms. Owens was asked why we should listen to Kanye West over Taylor Swift. Her answer was a great lesson in paying attention to the factual details of a statement.
When the question was posed Ms. Owens didn't flinch, answering the question immediately. Her reponse:
Kanye West has not told anybody who they should go vote for or what they should think. He simply said that the supports the President. Taylor Swift came out and wrote a diatribe saying exactly what we know all leftists say, 'this person is a racist, this person is a sexist, this person is a misogynist and I'm not voting for this person and you shouldn't either'. Kanye West has never done that, not once. He simply says he supports the President. That's a message of love, not hate.
That really describes a fundamental difference in the difference between the loudest people on the right and the loudest (arguably louder) on the left. This is important context to remember for the remainder of this thought/argument/post. I am talking about the loud people. Those that put themselves in a place to be seen and heard when it comes to politics.
For the most part the left has been completely intolerant of anything even beginning to resemble a counter argument. Rather than formulate a reasonable retort to opposing ideas they simply respond with threats of violence. We've seen it from those directly involved as well as well known actors, comedians and artists.
Actors, Shut Up and Dance Monkey's!
Actors have traditionally been and continue to be the lower dregs of society. The only difference between now and then is that they have a lot of money. This is something I've been thinking about after hearing their opinions. For the most part, actors are not well educated and are very, very egotistic. They make President Trump look shy.
A famous actor is someone who doesn't think things through. They go out into the world one day thinking they are so wonderful that everyone on earth is going to love them enough to watch them on TV and it works out for 1 out of 1000 of them. Think about that for second. They have so little thought that they buy a lottery ticket every day of their life with their last dollar. What's worse is that they think so highly of themselves that they believe everyone should listen to and follow their direction.
The problem is that they don't actually have real reasonable views or an argument to back up their views. Take De Niro for instance. We learned his "profound" political view at the Tony's. It was so well rounded and well thought out that he was able to condense it into two words, "Fuck Trump". Wow! I mean, wow! Genius! Erudite! Shut up and dance, De Niro.
Recently, we got to hear from Alec Baldwin. You remember him right? The drunk, drug addicted slob who calls his 11 year old daughter to berate her in a voicemail for over 2 minutes. Well, his honorable idea is that we need to "overthrow the Trump presidency".
Does anyone want to explain what their issue is or are we just listening to someone with no actual ideas?
Stars like those in Hollywood don't know nor care what regular people deal with. A tax cut and better life for us deplorables doesn't register with them. They don't have to worry about the day-to-day that we deal with. In short, they are not in our social circles so truly don't matter when it comes to direction of government. In no way will they be impacted in either direction.
No Civility Unless We Get Our Way
Hillary Clinton pretty much summed up the mob rule mentality of today's political left. Last week, she was able to clarify for the American people what many of us already knew. "You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about" was how her statement started. She went on to say that they can be civil again if they are " fortunate enough to win back the House and or the Senate". Another way to say that is, "We are going to kick and scream, roll around on the floor in tantrum unless we get what we want".
This is not how our country works. It never has been and never will be. In our country we talk it all over and the people decide after hearing all the arguments how we proceed. In the past 2 years, we decided to go to the conservative side. Ms. Clinton, you are a 2 time election loser. The people have spoken and their answer was that they do not agree with your vision for our future. Sorry, but that is exactly how it works. It's not that you are wrong but just that we do not want the same future that you want.
Eric Holder, recently told a ground of dimwits that "when they go low, we kick 'em", referring to republicans. Now, his side had their chance for 8 years to steer the country their way and we didn't care for it. In response he thinks they should just beat us all down so much that we are forced to agree with him. That doesn't work in America. At the end of the day, we are a country made of people whose very blood lines don't include submission in any way. We are made for two things: Freedom and the will to fight against those who want to take our freedom. If Holder thinks he hold us down by kicking us when we're down, he hasn't seen what it's like when you corner a Honey Badger.
I've written about Diane Feinstein and the disgusting stunt she tried to pull on Brett Kavanaugh so I won't delve to deep into what she did but only what ensued. What she did was fan the flames of what I'm convinced she knew was a false claim. Following her smear campaign were smear sub-campaigns, offshoots of her campaign where paid protesters assaulted men outside of the Judiciary, beat on the doors of the Supreme Court like bratty children and generally showed the world the dregs of America. Paid protesters cornered Senate Republicans. Not to talk to them or discuss their view but to yell at them. Again, babies. Bob Corker had the best response, "Talk to me when you grow up".
My plan was to end this section with Maxine Water's but it's impossible in one paragraph. I think everyone is pretty familiar with her thugish tactics.
I can go on and on but you get the drift. Anyone on the left reading this, please let me know if you can find an instance when Right wing protesters tried to shut down campus speeches. On this point: Shutting down a speaker with opposing views is literally fascism. That doesn't change if you say you are anti-fascist. Being a Fascist in the name of anti-fascism doesn't make sense. Read more.
Keep It Up, Please
My only hope is that this idiocy continues until the mid-terms. With every single call from leftist to resist and physically fight back a Conservative gets their wings.
Ever since the Kavanaugh tragedy we have watched every democrat call for blood in the streets be met with disdain from the public. The only bleeding we have seen from this hateful rhetoric is the bleeding democrat poll numbers.

Every once in a while, the true base nature of the Democrat party comes into the light to be seen. All of the ideas that they claim to stand for are really just conveniences to buy votes to stay in power - power for its own sake. They claim to care about democracy until they lose an election, or until a law is passed that they do not like. Then it's off to court, or impeachment, or who knows what else to try to undo what democratically happened. They claim to care about discourse and civility and peacful protest, until the day comes when nobody is buying what they are selling with their discourse and peaceful protest. Then it gets ugly and violent and mean. Theirs is a philosophy of expediency, not principle.
Agreed. At some point or another even the most faithful dem follower has to be able to catch on when they say one thing and do the opposite so blatantly. Thanks for the reply. You've a new follower.
