Amy Barrett ruled by men?

I want to highlight a sentiment that I have seen repeatedly expressed by Democrats:

Regarding Justice Amy Barrett:

"It seems to me that she has been allowed by men to achieve her position and will be ruled by them"

Amy Barrett is an astonishingly intelligent human being, a talented jurist, and by every account of both colleagues and students a talented professor of law. She has a stack of achievements and accolades both professional and educational, and is, in short, a mind to be reckoned with.

Every person who styles themselves as intellectually honest ought hold off on the character assassination.

"At Notre Dame, professors and students say they have not seen evidence of Barrett’s faith and beliefs intruding into her teaching; they speak instead of her work to encourage
debate and push students to reach their own conclusions."

"One of Barrett’s former students, Krista Cox, said she found Barrett to be “immensely fair” when she attended law school about 15 years ago."

It is profoundly anti-woman to write off a human being with this kind of intellectual talent as "she has been allowed by men to achieve her position"

Women are either the full intellectual co-equals of men, or they are not. I believe with every fiber that they are. Whatever position this woman (or any woman) holds, let us give her the credit for having the intellectual prowess to have arrived arrive at her own conclusions via intense study, effort, and education.

I'm about done watching my lefty acquaintances demean women.
