A Few Panoramic Views of the Kenai River

Poachers Cove, Soldotna, Alaska

An in-town access to the Kenai River. Small tight area, but there is a private boat launch area, and a couple of seemingly free spots to park with a couple of benches overlooking the river. Fair warning, the below pictures are all about the 1.5 MB file size. So careful opening the Big View clicks on the images.

First up is the downstream view, there is an Eagle sitting in the trees on the island, but due to the image being resized, and the island a little bit away from where I was standing and using my 35 mm lens and not the zoom lens, well you can't really see him. I did not see him until I was looking through my pictures.

That sky is what we have been dealing with most of the week, clouds with off and on sprinkles and occasional down pours, but boy-o-boy is it turning things green fast and opening the leaves of the trees. Okay so that took a little bit to up load so the next two I need to shrink a tad bit.

Here we have the upstream view of the river. A little bit more water than the last time we were here but not much yet and still a little bit low. The south Island channel is pretty much void of water right now.

Okay still a slow upload so just a glitch in the matrix I guess so here is the last pano, pretty much a combo of the previous two, a 180 degree view of the river from the upstream to the down stream. All the pano shots had their own sequence of pictures. Like the first image this one is also close to 1.5 MB size.

Well that's the Kenai River view from Poachers Cove in Soldotna, Alaska.

On another matter, I've been informed that @keithboone may be gone for a little bit, @melinda010100 is going to manage #featheredfriday for awhile, so I will be trying to manage #mountainmonday. I will try to vote, comment and resteem your #mountainmonday post.

Please bear in mind that I am likely one of the last persons that lives in Monday, most of you will already be living in Tuesday when I get around to doing my post and then voting, commenting, and resteeming your post. (I live in Alaska).

I enjoy seeing scenery from all over the world and #mountainmonday lets me see the mountains, #featheredfriday some of the wild life and waters and trees from various parts of the world, #bouldersunday, by @shasta, lets us have a look at what kind of rock formations are around, and #wednesdaywalk from @tattoodjay lets me see peoples backyards and city streets. These are by far my most favorite tags at this time, and I would like to see #mountainmonday continue so I will try to manage it.

See you all on Monday, or Tuesday as the case may be.

You will do a great job with #mountainmonday! I'm off to find a mountain photo for Monday!

Great panoramic shots with some great looking clouds. Will have a zoom on the shot if I can find the eagle.

He's in the first and last images, on the little island clump of trees way in the top, but barely visible.

What gorgeous Panos I have no doubt you will do a great job with Mountain Monday, and thanks for the shout out of Wednesday Walk :)
