All about the Jungfrau Mountain

This is one thing you don't wanna miss when you reach Switzerland. It's Europe's train station and there are two routes to get there: via Lauterbrunnen & by Grindelwald. We took an impressive journey by cogwheel train, all the way from the valley floor in Interlaken to the eternal snow of the Bernese Alps.
It is located in between the well known mountains Mönch and Jungfrau, in the heart of the UNESCO Natural World Heritage property "Jungfrau - Aletsch - Bietschhorn". The cogwheel train is the only way to get there.
Trip from Interlaken is totally fun and full of scenic beauty all the way.

A lift takes up 117 m further up to the Sphinx observatory & enjoy a 360° view, both from the terrace and from the comfort of a building with panoramic windows ; there is an Ice Palace with many ice sculptures to admire;
The Alpine Sensation is a moving walkway with images, light and music, connecting the hall below the Sphinx observatory to the Ice Palace & there were multiple restaurants.
We went out in the snow and enjoyed the view of the Grosser Aletsch glacier and the surrounding mountains & also did sledging, skiing & snowboarding in the Snow Fun Park (not included in the train ticket).Lindt Swiss Chocolate Heaven, where making of the chocolate can be seen and tonnes of chocolates could be purchased. :)

Here are some glimpses of this beautiful mountain place journey.
