Let's remember the Katyn massacre:
Between April and May 1940, almost 22,000 Poles were executed in the Katyn Forest (Now in Russia).
☑️In March 1940, NKVD✡️ was ordered by the Soviet Politburo to eliminate as many as 25,000 nationalists and counterrevolutionaries kept in Ukrainian and Belarusian prisions.
When the Massacre ended, half of the Polish Army officer Corps had been wiped out. Including several generals who had fought in the Soviet Polish war. Also perished university professors, lawyers engineers, teachers and journalists.
