All these problems prompted the developers of the Joystream project to create their own decentralized video platform based on blockchain technology.

Joystream is a decentralized video platform that has already been launched and operates on its own blockchain (the Substrate framework is used), this project can be called the polkadot parachain.

The Joystream protocol attempts to formalize a content paltform that is governed and operated by the platform users.The centerpiece of the protocol is the shared platform state,implemented on top of a blockchain consensus system,which coordinates and provides incentives to all stakeholders.Almost every aspect of a contract platform is endogenous to the protocol,and every subsystem is fully accountable to,and directed by, the users,as represented by the governance system.
