Travelogue: Li River 99

In the morning in Guilin, the slightly warm breeze sends a refreshing breeze, the air is mixed with the fragrance of the grass, flowers, the coolness of the shade and the knotted water on the road, before reminding me of last night's sleep and the intensity of the thunder and rain.

The Li River originates from the "first peak in South China", the Cat's Hill in Guibei Yueling, and flows through Guilin and Yangshuo to Pingle County, the most typical section of karst terrain development, with a total length of 437 kilometres, merging into the Xijiang River, about 83 kilometres from Guilin to Yangshuo, the scenery is particularly spectacular, with charming scenery along the river, lingering blue water, riverfront dwellings, barges and river ports, and boat traffic. The ancient city of Nanxiao Pavilion comes into view, and the trip to the Li River ends with a walk through the doorway with the inscription "Yingxiao".
