The 500 year aged, Brazilian Rosewood back of a classical guitar built by master luthier José Rodriguez Peña. Guitars made of this specific type of wood are highly sought after, as they offer excellent tonal qualities.
Sadly due to years of over forresting of the palo Santo Rio rosewood, it is now a highly protected tree.
This means that only tone woods that have been bought and stored legally before the forresting ban can be used to craft instrumets.
This particular piece of wood was stored and aged for over 500 years.
