The 2018 William Jones Cup is the 40th staging of William Jones Cup, an international basketball tournament held in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Reigning UAAP Men's basketball champions Ateneo de Manila University (Ateneo Blue Eagles) will represent the Philippines in the 40th Annual William Jones Cup International Basketball Tournament on July 14-22, 2018 at the Xinzhuang Gymnasium in New Taipei City.

The men's tournament is held from 14–22 July 2018 which is participated by 11 teams. The women's tournament will be held from 25–29 July 2018 and will be contested by six teams. Both tournaments will be held at the Xinzhuang Gymnasium in New Taipei City and will follow a single round robin format.
Ateneo Blue Eagles will represent Philippines in the 2018 William Jones Cup from July 14-22, 2018 at the Xinzhuang Gymnasium, New Taipei City, Taiwan. Ateneo is currently being coached by former Gilas Pilipinas Head Coach Tab Baldwin. The defending UAAP Champion will face teams from Canada (3D Global Sports) , Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Lithuania and South Korea in the 40th William Jones Cup.
Ateneo is fresh from a successful summer preseason where they bagged the City Hoops, Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup, and the Breakdown Basketball Invitationals championships to go with their UAAP Season 80 title.
