A HIPPOPOTAMUS GOES INTO A BAR

A hippopotamus goes into a bar and motions for a martini. This surprises the bartender but he thinks, "What the heck, I guess I might as well make the drink." The bartender mixes the martini, gives it to the hippopotamus, and the hippopotamus holds out a fifty dollar bill. The bartender is speechless. He can't believe that a hippopotamus walked into his bar, ordered a martini, and then actually had a fifty dollar bill to pay for it. Amazed, he takes the fifty and walks to the cash register. There the bartender pauses and thinks, "Let me try something here and see if the hippo notices anything." The bartender returns to the hippopotamus and hands him a dollar for change. The hippopotamus takes the dollar and sits silently sipping the martini. After a few minutes, the bartender can't help himself. "You know," he says to the hippopotamus, "we don't get too many hippos in here." The hippopotamus says, "At $49 a drink, I'm not surprised."
