John McAfee twitter account hacked: Multiple tweets of "Coin of the day" as the market goes into a frenzy
Tech Pioneer and Chief Cybersecurity Visionary of MGT has the irony of all irony played on him as his twitter account was hacked and currently under the control of hackers. Multiple coins of the day were sent out, sending the market into a frenzy.

The hackers seem to go all out, even changing his "Pinned message" to push their agenda

There seems to be some confusion on twitter as well, as a clone John McAfee account also started pumping their desired coins. This has led the official John McAfee account to confront the fake John McAfee account with legal proceedings but even that has not taken the wings out of that account as it continues to generate traction. Certainly the "John McAfee Effect" is rooted firmly in the market as traders/ speculators look for direction.
Its important that investors/ traders/ speculators do their own due diligence as these events could become a popular market catalyst swiping away many Bitcoins in the process. These events provide tools for regulators to push their agenda as the uninformed blow their trumpet, attacking the name of the Cyber-security icon. Surprisingly, there's a lot of confusion as many STILL believe that John McAfee is actually behind the the account. Some even point to the obvious fake John McAfee twitter account requesting 25BTC and an upfront 15% of the given coin to be listed in the "Coin of the Day" tweet as evidence.
This is really, really funny. I can see on Poloniex there was a massive volume spike of 300 mil Siacoin after those Tweets.
That's the McAfee effect for you, he moves the market, even the fake twitter account still manage to wipe many off their feet
So much for a security and virus scan software when your twitter account gets hacked lol
Its probably would be a good time to invite him to Steem and stress the having his own posting and private keys, its one of the awesome part of the Steem package..What do you think...
It is true that the blockchain system is almost impossible to hack but you can still manipulate the market through false information and even more with the help of these media. Greetings and thanks for the information.
Its not just crypto, we been under the control of fake news and mass propaganda for some time now, fake news has been been trending and people are realizing, we can thank the American election for that... most are zombies going around anyway, wherever the wind blow that where they head
Amusing in a sad way that someone who is such a strong crypto fan should have something foolish like this happen.
Every social media account has a price tag on it, the more influential the fatter the potential paycheck if you can get the job done...
The moral of the story is to take personal responsibility for decisions and don't rely on others to decide how to think and act.
This is even more relevant when a central authority then steps in and acts as the protective 'parent', leading to a lot of dependent adults who never grow up to learn their own mind.
Bang on target with those points, we have to see how things span out but it would be nice to use this as an opportunity to invite him to the Steemit platform, I was hoping to get some exposure with this post but now much traction
