John Leslie charged with sexually assaulting woman in nightclub

The previous Blue Peter moderator John Leslie has been accused of sexually ambushing a lady in an Edinburgh dance club.

The 52-year-old previous Wheel of Fortune and This Morning star is affirmed to have put his hand up the lady's skirt.

The 26-year-old lady was on a hen night when the affirmed episode occurred at Atik, a club in West Tollcross. The offense is asserted to have occurred at an occasion to stamp the club's reviving in June.

A Police Scotland representative stated: "Police in Edinburgh have charged a 52-year-old man following a report that a 26-year-old lady was the casualty of a rape at a club in the Tollcross zone on Sunday 25 June."

Leslie will show up at a court at the appointed time.

Leslie wound up plainly Blue Peter's first Scottish moderator when he joined the show in 1989. He remained with the BBC kids' program until 1994. He at that point went ahead to introduce the ITV test demonstrate Wheel of Fortune from 1998 to 2001.
