Fans of McAfee who like documentaries will love the 2016 Showtime feature called Gringo, the Dangerous Life of John McAfee, which I just saw for the first time. By director Nanette Burstein, the intense interviews pull no punches. By thoroughly questioning everyone who was around the property at the time of the murder of McAfee's neighbor Gregory Faull, the world gets a peek at how McAfee operated, and who he hired in the Central American country. Based on these interviews and video footage, it seems likely that the neighbor was killed by McAfee's employees, although it seems doubtful that it would have been performed on direct orders from the boss.

Americans have never previously heard the whole truth about bad boy McAfee because some of the details are unspeakable by mainstream news. This is where Netflix shines as it can discuss details about McAfee's world that are too distasteful for prime time television, and perhaps too valuable for Youtube. Here's the new interview:

What seemingly could be one of the most damning documentaries, Gringo delves into the shockingly real world of bad boys with the full abandon required for journalistic integrity. The documentary seems to skewer McAfee until we are reminded at the end that the guru pledged to orchestrate all media, including this documentary to play his own tune. Despite the apparent truthfulness of Gringo, the power, charisma and entanglement of the change-maker makes us wonder if the entire documentary is a creation or fabrication put out by the revolutionary leader himself.

Because John McAfee is a master of media manipulation, it is not possible to know how much of the documentary is for or against McAfee. It seems, the more grungy or raunchy dirt that is digged up on him, the more that McAfee's personna grows in stature like they way manure strengthens agriculture.

When it comes to the latest tech topics, the pro-change mogul today warns that Facebook is the antithesis of privacy. He goes on to predict that the almighty government may attempt protections that simply don't work, especially in the form of bans on certain blockchain technology. Just like law enforcement could not slow down alcohol consumption during Prohibition, no government can stop Bitcoin because it has skyrocketing popularity and a worldwide distributed network. Now that viruses are a small threat compared to human hackers, McAfee points out that there is no software solution. All online users must now use caution everywhere. For one thing, computer users must watch out for the con artist type of hacker who calls up impersonating a trusted party in order to gain passwords or other information that can be used to hack into protected systems.
