The legend of Joel Embiid continues to swell. One of the most popular athletes in the world (No. 19 on the SNIPdaily Top 100 this past month) due to his strong social media presence and tendency to stir the pot, not to mention his play on the court, everything Embiid does these days makes headlines.

The Philadelphia 76ers star was at it once again doing something totally unpredictable on Sunday night, one day after his team beat the Miami Heat to take a 3-1 lead in their first-round series.

Embiid showed up at a Philadelphia-area church, much to the surprise of the churchgoers in attendance, and of course he was wearing his Sixers warmups.

Embiid was reportedly very friendly and outgoing with everyone there, taking pictures with folks and chatting them up, per TMZ Sports

One church rep told TMZ Sports, "He was super nice."

The big man also spent some personal time in prayer after service was over.

So, even though Embiid is known mostly for his trash talking and pranks, he clearly has a spiritual side that he takes the time to feed.
