The British High Commission (BHC) Staff Amenities Center (SAC) is seeking a highly motivated individual to become its new Manager. The Manager will be responsible for the management of 34 employees and oversight of all SAC activities
Some weekend and evening work will also be required. The position is supported by two full-time office staff consisting of a Deputy Manager and Accounts Manager. The appointment is subject to a probationary period of three months.

Key responsibilities include:
To provide and maintain a high standard of service and facilities to members and guests in a pleasant and comfortable environment.
Ensuring that standards and procedures are maintained at all times to protect staff, members and SAC premises in accordance with security and visitor protocols, FCDO guidelines.
Monitor and manage SAC's income and expenses to achieve profitability within the constraints of the SAC Constitution and provide efficient and effective use of SAC resources.
Ensure that all policies and procedures comply with SAC and applicable FCDO policies and that they are regularly updated and reviewed and that any new policies are developed and adopted as necessary.
Manage all HR functions within the SAC to ensure compliance with procedures including employee recruitment, performance and development, salary reviews, and make recommendations to the committee where improvements can be made to the employee work environment.
Overseeing the accurate and prompt processing and collection of membership accounts; liaising with Accounts Manager in preparation of monthly financial report to committee including audit report.
Communicate with the Accounts Manager regarding future budget forecasting and current budget monitoring to make recommendations to the committee.
Assist the committee in planning and conducting events.
Responsible for all aspects of facilities management, including strategic planning and day-to-day operations of the SAC premises and sports facilities. Supervise the repair and maintenance of buildings and grounds.
Provide timely and accurate reports and other information to the Committee, including monthly management reports, and identify any risks or issues that may affect the SAC that cannot be addressed by the Manager alone; and maintain an up-to-date risk register.
Knowledge and Skills:
Extensive experience managing a similar operation, preferably in hospitality and/or facilities management.
Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach and develop staff in accordance with policies and procedures and manage staff performance.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Complete fluency in English.
Good financial and inventory management skills with experience in managing profit and loss statements.
Highly developed leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to set and achieve team goals.
Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures and risk management.
Demonstrated ability to effectively plan ahead and coordinate multiple areas of operations.
High degree of initiative and motivation with the ability to work with little or no supervision while collaborating effectively with a management committee and other key stakeholders.
