Noble Sacrifice

It is in 1593 on the cliffs below at the Namgang river's shore, that Nongae a Gisaeng (Korean Geisha) sacrificed herself for her country by embracing a Japanese General and jumping off the cliff to their death at the rocks and water below.

She is revered to this day as a Korean hero, and the rock she jumped off from is now known as "Uiam" (righteous rock)
