Yes, it was the same at the last election here in UK.
The "winners" (the conservatives - who got in with some 25% of eligible voters vote!) were accused of fraudulent campaign financing by 13 police forces!
The scandal made the news to some degree, but never got anywhere tho, afaik.
The whole thing is rigged - and getting us placing our attention too deeply in it is all part of the trick.
