A super-simple earring project

Have you ever wanted to make your own earrings, but don't know where to start? Here is a super-simple project you can try without using any special tools!

I found these earrings with threaded posts in my clearance bin jackpot and decided to use them for some oddball beads in my collection. These earring blanks are great for any chunky bead that can fit around the post and is not too tall for the threaded cap.

I don't have my calipers on hand, but I would guesstimate the beads need a minimum of a 1/8" (3mm) diameter hole and should be around 3/8" (9mm) tall. If you find these for sale online or at a local craft store, look for some beads you like or even try making your own from polymer clay. Books about making clay beads are probably available at your local library.
