Silver Jewelry designed with lines collected from “The Scream” by Edvard Munch.
Toghether with my second-cousin Erle, I design products that explore Edvard Munchs’ artworks in new ways. Being his relatives, we grew up with his art and he’s part of our family history.
Here we are at the Munch Museum in Oslo launching our first products.
When we established our brand By Munch we decided we wanted to make Art Merchandise with good quality and great design. In this post I’ll show you the Silver Jewelry we’ve designed.
Silver pendant with engraved lines collected from the sky in The Scream.
Silver Cufflinks with the same lines engraved.
Silver Ring with the same characteristic lines.
We figured out that when using such an iconic image only a small reference to it would be enough.
All our jewelry come in Paulowa wood boxes with engraved logo, and a little information card about us inside.

This is just beautiful @helenmunch! So simple but yet original. I am not much into jewelry myself, except when something like your pieces come into my view . I would wear each piece showed here.

Ah Very cool idea! Did you engrave the silver by hand or are you having them all machined?

Thanks! No, we didn’t engrave by hand, the factory did it. Edvard Munch didn’t have any children himself, only his brother Peter Andreas had a child, a daughter named Andrea born three months after Peter Andreas died of pneumonia. Edvard Munch’s niece Andrea is my great-grand mother and the only decendant from Edvard Munch and his siblings. 😊
