Jesus and the divorce: It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law. Mark 10:5

Jesus taught us that the person who fears God and the person who is hard of heart leads different paths in life. As Jesus said in other words: "A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart" Luke 6:45.
The fear of God (constancy, firmness, devotion) in the Christian faith is the good ground where the faith settles (Parable of the sower, Luke 8:4-15), and also this spiritual gift is the origin of something very important, the common sense, something very scarce these days.
That's why when the enemies of the Lord, the Pharisees, talked with Jesus about divorce, to find Jesus in a mistake, Jesus explained that divorce exists in the Law of Moses because the law is made for those who live according to the flesh.
Those who live according to the spirit live the chastity, which is a fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23); on the other hand, those who live according to the flesh practice fornication, which is generally what leads the man and the woman to divorce. Jesus called us to reject masks and appearances to live according to God's law, which is the love towards our neighbor.
The Gospel of Mark tells us in this way the discussion about the divorce between Jesus and the Pharisees, while the Lord was on his way to Jerusalem:
"Some Pharisees came and tested him by asking, ´Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?´
´What did Moses command you?´ he replied.
They said, ´Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce and send her away.´
´It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law,´ Jesus replied.
´But at the beginning of creation God ´made them male and female.´ ´For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.´ So they are no longer two, but one flesh." Mark 10:2-8.
