And he has plentiful, bountiful material due to his pansexual experimentation and crazy-passionate exploration of his humanity and his private parts. For Banfield, it is a life-or-death struggle, a fight between the penis, the anus, booze, guns and lust vs God, wife, child and other pure and holy pursuits.
