The coup against Jeremy Corbyn

in #jeremy8 years ago (edited)

The coup was never about competence and was always about ideology. by supporting it you are condoning removing an elected leader because some members of the PLP disagree with his ideology. The proof of this is. The fact that the same people that initially moved against him, also made it clear as soon as he was elected that they did not support his views and that there was a danger he would destroy the party.....The thing is it not up to them to decide who should be leader based on ideology, thats our decision the members . So the PLP coup leaders concoct the accusation that he is incompetent. What ever reason you have for believing he should go, its trumped by this. You cant allow a small minority who then convince a feeble majority to remove the elected leader because they disagree with his ideology, The members chose what kind of ideology they want their part to represent and it is now one shaped by Corbyns policy's, who has the members mandate and the PLP must accept that. If they can't accept the members decision or choice . Then they should either try to get a new leader elected through the party system or leave the party. Not try to subvert democracy. If you cant work with your boss you resign you don't insist the boss does
