Was Doubting Thomas struck down by a thunderbolt of lightning when he doubted Jesus' bodily resurrection?
No. Jesus did not even get upset about it but, he immediately and calmly provided Thomas with proof by letting him touch his wounds.
In this sense, healthy skepticism and the human requirement for evidence was upheld, legitimized and validated by none other than Jesus Christ Himself!
