They must perform their religious obligations in absolute conformity to Watchtower policy, its legalistic traditionalism, or be excommunicated and shunned (if caught) - or harbour with trepidation the thought within their minds that they will die with the rest of the so-called "wicked" world when it is obliterated by its Maker at Armageddon.

(This is terrible - and terrifying - religious ideology that, admittedly, comes from the Christian Bible. And I reject it!)

The Governing Body, leaders of the Watchtower organization, constantly accosts its flock with Philippians 2:12 (which to my mind is a horrible - and horrifying - verse of Scripture that I also reject!), which says,

"Consequently, my beloved ones, just as you have always obeyed, not only during my presence but now much more readily during my absence, keep working out your own salvation with fear and trembling." (New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures; Watchtower Bible and Tract Society; 2013)

Even if you believe you are doing your best, that attitude alone condemns you, for it is an attitude considered presumptuous and haughty and worthy of Jehovah’s wrath.

In the world of the Watchtower your best is never good enough, and you are never safe.

Truly, there is no salvation, no rest, no safety, no forgiveness, and no peace within the walls of the Watchtower for Jehovah’s Witnesses.
