About that Star Wars / CPU reference...
In my last post about the year 2017 in CPUs, I left a reference. There were many smart guesses, but it was actually a homage to AnandTech. They used to do Star Wars themed reviews.
For example, https://www.anandtech.com/show/2045/ or https://www.anandtech.com/show/5831/amd-trinity-review-a10-4600m-a-new-hope
I don't blame you though, it seems even the new team at AnandTech themselves aren't aware of this tradition. Missed opportunity to call this one Return of the Jedi - https://www.anandtech.com/show/11170/the-amd-zen-and-ryzen-7-review-a-deep-dive-on-1800x-1700x-and-1700
But I obliged :)
What I had in mind was that the Jedi Order belonging to AMD, and the Dark Side was Intel through and through with their darned tactics and all.
Return of the Jedi in where Ryzen 7 - was the awakening that the Jedi needed that scrambled the entire Empire of Intel.. Never realized this was Anandtech.
That sure is a sneaky homage :P Thanks for uncovering it, I think quite a few of us were anxious to find out what that mystery reference was.
Im always down for any and all Star Wars references.
Same.
Now days changed an every one want to play with real money, So old school players are playing with real money in real world.
It was an incredibly fun and challenging puzzle. I had no chance to get the correct answer but it was fun to think about.
