5th Malaysian Jazz Piano Festival 2018 - Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Center

Im grateful that the festival was considered a great success. We started off 5 years ago as a 'piano-focused' festival in the art of Jazz music, and this year we expanded to other instruments and got more involvement from other instrumentalists. We did various workshops for different instruments, as well as featuring different college/uni bands during the one of evenings of the 3-day fest.

We also held a Jazz Talent Competition which consists of different instrumentalists. We gave them certain guidelines of the competition in which they had to perform for 15 mins maximum. The winner was a young harmonica player from Ipoh, Leon Yuen. Congrats!

On the gala night, several of us committee members performed with our own bands. So here i leave you with a cover tune i arranged and performed with some of the top young cats in the country.
