（JP/EN)タグについて考える/a small idea about "tags" for Japanese community

皆さん、こんにちは。

最近ちょっと書きすぎかな？と不安になったので @sho-tさんにちょっと相談してみたら（書く内容までは話してません）、コミュニティがよくなることを真剣に考えてるなら多分大丈夫！って背中を押してもらったので引き続き書いてみたいと思います（でももうソロソロ終ります）。sho-tさん、何かあったらごめんなさいｍ

今日はタグについて書きたいとおもいます。

皆さんは投稿をフォロワーのストリームで見ていますか？　それとも、#japaneseで見ておられますか？

１ヶ月半ほどsteemitを使ってみてずっと気になっているのがタグのことでした。先日、いよいよ日本語化もされてきたようですし、この機会に日本のコミュニティの層を厚くするために、日本のタグを作ってみるのはどうかなぁと思ったりしています（もう過去に試したことがあったり進行中だったらスミマセン）。

試しに、お隣の韓国はどうしてられるのかなと思ってちょっと見てみました。単語がわからないものもありますが、ぱっとみただけで8個ほど使われているようです。

kr-art, kr-event, kr-gazua kr-join, kr-newbie, kr-marketing kr-travel, kr-writing…

次に日本のタグを見てみると、まだまだ規模も小さいこともあると思いますし、一定数以上しか表示されないのかも？知れませんが、jp-newbieだけのようでした（jp-artも４件ほど存在するようですが投稿内容の表示はできませんでした）。
次にタグを付けるメリットとデメリットについて整理してみます。

メリット

①日本のコミュニティの中にタグを持つことで小さなグループ分け（同じ興味を持つ人）が集まることができる

②流れてしまいやすい投稿を、タグを使って７日前の投稿まで逆上ってupvoteやコメントができる（もらえる）

③jp-を付けることでメインは日本語で書くスタンスができ、今までやや漠然としていた「誰向けの投稿か」をはっきりさせることができる

④小さなグループのようなものを作ることで、グループ内で自然にnewbieさんのサポートができる

⑤jp-を付けることで日本のブランドを世界へ意識づけることができる（すごいなぁ）

⑥jp-animeやjp-otakuなど、世界にファンが多い分野に関しては世界中からコミュニティに遊びにきてもらえる（かも知れない）

例えば①と②についていうと「今日のランチ」という投稿があるとして、その投稿はその人のブログまで戻らないともう見ることはできません。でも”jp-lunch”というタグがついていたとしたら、”jp-lunch”タグで検索してstreemを見れば簡単にその人のランチを見つけることができます。さらに他の人のランチもみることができますよね。

要は、似たような投稿に関心がある人がその情報を一気にまとめて見ることができるというメリットです。昨日紹介していたように、 @azthetravelcatさんのブログで一気に「名前チャレンジ」を見ることができるのと同じ状態ですね。そうすると”#japanese”タグで1-2日のうちに一気に流れ去ってしまった投稿が、簡単に７日前まで（もっと？）見つけ出すことができる、というわけです。

③についても結構大きな意味があって、jp-lunch をタグにする人はなんとなく日本語で書いていいんだと思うと思います（私だけですか？）そして英語でも読んで欲しいときはもちろん、英語もつけたらいいと思います。

要は、いまちょっとどの言語で書くべきか？と不安定な部分があるところを日本語で書いていいんですよという、日本語ユーザーに自信を持って投稿してもらえるのではないかと思うんです。これはこれから日本語化が進んで、「日本語ならやりたい」と思っている人のハードルを下げることに有効だと思っています。

そして④ですが、小さなストリーム（グループ）の中に似たような興味を持つnewbieさんがいたら、声をかけやすいですよね。japaneseの大きなストリームの中で溺れそうになっている、例えば料理の記事をUPしているnewbieさんに、仮想通貨でガンガン儲けたいという人が声をかけようとしたらやっぱりちょっと難しいところがあると思います（反対でもそうです）。
でも例えば”jp-cooking”というタグがあって、そこに集まる人達の中に料理の記事をupするnewbieさんが溺れてたら、それは結構簡単に周りのsteemianが声を掛けてやり取りが始まるように思うんです。イメージしていただけそうでしょうか？　昨日はjp-newbieさんのサポートで別のことを書きましたが（レピュテーション45くらいになった人が声掛けをしてみるなど）、こっちの方が現実的かも知れませんね。

⑤は反対に日本のコミュニティを限定してしまうのでは？という気もしなくはないのですが、例えば”jp-art”などにすると、artの中でも日本のartのことを知りたいという人が海外から見に来てくれる可能性が広がると思います。今の海外も含めて使われている”art”の括りじゃ大きすぎる、そこから日本のものを探し出すって、難しいと感じることってありますよね？　そういう意味で「日本をブランド化」できると思っています。

⑥も同じことですが、特にanimeやotaku,akihabara,あとはninja.samurai? とか日本の文化をカッコいいと思ってくれる人がいますよね。そこはやっぱり世界の中に埋もれさせてしまわないで、はっきりと”jp-anime”と言ってしまってクオリティが高い本物のanime（失礼か）に関する情報を集めて、そのコミュニティ（集まり）に海外の人に来てもらってミートアップとか、いろんなことで盛り上がるための窓口にしたらどうでしょうか。東京オリンピックの2020年に盛り上がっている姿も想像しやすくなりませんか。あと他には日本酒とかウィスキーなんかもいいかもですよね。海外では日本酒とウィスキーはとっても人気があります。

デメリット

①普段＃japaneseのストリームで見ている人はタグの検索をし直す必要がある

②もしjp-のグループに海外の人が遊びにきてくれたときは、日本語を話さない人でも一応？受け入れる体制を取るかどうかの判断が必要かも知れません。

③小さいタグに引きこもってしまう可能性？

もちろんデメリットも考えておく必要があります。

①の普段#japaneseのストリームで見ている人は、jp-artなどのタグで見たあとに戻らないといけなくなるので少し手間はかかりますが、これが手間だなと思う人はずっと#japaneseで見ることもできるのでそれほど困らないかなと思います。問題はスマホなどのアプリかなとは思いますが、いまはよくてももっと人の数が増えてくるとタグ分類は役に立ってくると思います。

②は「#japanese」のコミュニティは基本は日本語で書くことになると思いますが、japaneseのタグではなく、jp-のタグで参加してこられた海外の人と交流をすることになるので、外国語が必要になってくる可能性はありますが、そこは頑張るしかないでしょうか＾＾

③についてですが、例えばjp-artやjp-foodなど興味があるタグが面白くてそのままそこで生活する人も出てくるかも知れませんが…。そこはタグを使うということに慣れてくればなんとかなるのかなぁと思ったりはしています。いずれにしても日本のコミュニティの殆どの人がjapaneseのタグがついているわけですから、メイン画面（japanese)に戻りたいときは投稿の下のjapaneseをクリックして戻る、ということができると思います。

あとはその小さいタグが居心地良すぎて引きこもられるとjapaneseコミュニティ的にはちょっと悲しいのでそうならないようにできればどちらも行き来する感じでいてもらえたらなと思います。（多分大丈夫ですよね？）

④はコメントをいただいたのと、漏れていたので追記します。
もし新しくタグを作るとすれば、浸透するまでそのアナウンスは必要だと思います。特にnewbieさんにどうやって伝えるかですが、それはマニュアルに追記するなり、定期的に紹介する投稿があれば大丈夫かなと思ってます。10個以下くらいで運用すれば…それほど苦にすることなく覚えて貰えるかなという感じでは思っています。

これらのタグ付けについては、「データ分類」にあたると思うんですけど、要は幾つかのタグを用意して、同じような記事を集めることで、そのグループ内の交流を高めて、結果日本のコミュニティを強くするという構造になるかと思います。いまは友達同士、同じSNSの繋がり同士で繋がっている部分が多いように思いますが、こんなタグ繋がりで集まれると、あまり友達がいない、または始めたばかりの人にとって居やすい環境になるように思っています。

皆さんに浸透するかどうかは判りませんが、やってみる価値はあるんじゃないかと思います。と言いますか、そんなにたいそうなことでなくて、どなたかartの記事を書かれるときにjp-artとつけてみてもらったらそれでこのプロジェクト？は開始となり、また完了となります。笑（一応、タグは多分整理は必要だと思いますが制限はないと聞いています）

私なりに皆さんの意見を読みながら、そしてやり取りをさせていただいて、いまのコミュニティを盛り上げるために１番手軽にできるのがこのタグの整理かなと思っています。

最初からいろいろ多すぎてはなんですから、先日　@kinakomochiさんが少し仰ってたjp-artと、あとは jp-food、 jp-travel、 jp-life、 jp-crypt くらいではじめてみてはどうでしょうか？

こういう事を続けていると何となく整ってくるといいますか、ある程度の決まりができてきてそれが逆に皆さんにとって自由に、ほかの人とは違った書き方をしてみよう！とかいういい意味での比較といいますか、モチベーションを上げることにもなるように思うんですが…。

ほかに例を上げるとすれば（ただ挙げてみるだけです）

※jp-が先に来るかあとに来たほうがいいかとかも考える必要があるでしょうか。

あまり細かくわけても大変だと思うし、多くても10個くらいかなぁと思ったりもしますが…。 そこはいろいろ意見してもらったらいいのかなと思います。

まずは先に書いた５つくらいのタグから始めてみるのはどうでしょう？
もし私が世界に向けて食べ物のことを発信するなら”food”のタグを使うでしょうし、日本に向けてなら”jp-food”を選択します。仮想通貨の情報が欲しい人は”jp-crypt”のタグを検索すれば @yasu24さんや @pierceswordさんなどの有益な情報が同じ画面に直ぐに出てくる訳ですから（本人がタグ付けしてくださればですが）結構有効的だと思いませんか？

もちろん念のためですが、jp-タグを付ける、つけないは皆さんの自由です。これからさらに多くの人が来られる前にちょっと考えておいた方がいいと思うのですが…
これはあくまでも案のひとつです。何かの参考やヒントにしていただければと思って書いています。もしご意見などいただけるようでしたら、よろしくお願いしますmm

So! I’m going to write about “tag” today

Are you reading posts with follower streaming or with the tag of # japanese?

Since I started steemit I was wondering about the function of the "tags".
It seems part of steemit apps started service in Japanese version in these days so how about think about start using Japanese own tags in this opportunity? I think it will make Japanese community strong. (If someone has already tried to do it in the past then excuse me.)

So I tried to check how the Korean community is using tags

kr-art, kr-event, kr-gazua kr-join, kr-newbie, kr-marketing kr-travel, kr-writing…

There’s some word I don’t understand, but it seems they have 8 tags at least…
Then I tried to check Japanese tags, then I can only see “jp-newbie” tags and “jp-art” but it seems art one is not active.

So let me tell you the merit and demerit of using new tags like “jp-●●●“

merit

①People who have the same interest will gather together as a small group by having tags in the Japanese community

②We can find the post with "jp-lunch" tag easily and we can upvote or make comments within 7 days.

③I think with “jp-“ tag, people come to feel more confident it is the "japanese" post space. of course, everyone can add English too.

④By creating kind of small groups with tag, everyone can naturally support newbies within the group.

⑤Everyone will start feeling the posts are like "Japanese brand" to the world (wow... great!)

⑥With the tag such as ”jp-anime” or ”jp-otaku”, steemians who have strong interests that stuff will come to the community from around the world (maybe)

For example, with regard to ① and ②, If there is a post like "today's lunch" but it is already on "japanese streem" so it means the post won't seen without visit the person's blog.

But if it is tagged with "jp-lunch" or something, you can easily find the person's lunch post by using jp-lunch and you also can find another person's lunch post.

The essence is that people who are involved in similar posts can see the information at once in one place.

It is the same with the case of "name challenge" the other day, as I mentioned yesterday, @azthetravelcat did restreem all most every name challenge post to her blog so we can check every name post at her blog as one streem. This is cool.

about③, it also has meaning I think, those who tag "jp-lunch" think it is okay to write in "Japanese".
In short, I think right now we are not so sure what languages we should write. so many people write in Japanese and English. But I think this tag may give for Japanese steemians to post in Japanese confidently.

It seems steemit is going to have Japanese-version very soon, so I think this is a good timing for Japanese community to prepare to welcome who don't prefer to use English.

And ④, if newbie who has a similar interest in a small stream (group) is there, it is easy to support or help him/her.

For example there is a tag called "jp - cooking" or something, and newbie post cooking articles with tag, then it's easy to find newbie who need help or who is alone in the small group or Japanese community.

Yesterday I wrote a different thing(to support another newbie who is over 45 reputation) but I think this idea is more easy to support new people.

⑤ It may make Japanese community to narrow minded? Yes, I also wondered about it. But if we use the tag of "jp-art", I think that the possibility that a person who wants to know about Japanese art will come to see from overseas. I think it is a bit too big world of "art" tag in steemit overseas so I think it is not so bad idea of having Japanese art tag to introduce japanese art to the world. I think we can show them "Japanese brand of the art" in some sense.

⑥ is also the same thing, especially anime, otaku, akihabara, ninja.samurai? hahaha Many people feel
these things as a "cool Japan". Not to let them be buried in the world tag, clearly saying "jp-anime", real anime information can be expanded with this tag of "jp-●●●" to the overseas.

If these communies comes bigger, as someone said about olympics, but we can easily imagine the community will get exciting and we can have big meetup event in Tokyo in 2020.

There's more attractive things like Sake or whiskey or... what else? Sake and whiskey are very popular in abroad.

Demerit

①People looking at the stream of #japanese usually need to search for tags again

②If overseas people who don't speak Japanese came to visit the group of "jp-●●●" It may be necessary to decide whether accept or not(I think we should!)

③Possibility to keep using only with small tags?

Of course, we need to consider demerit too.

① People who are looking at streams of #japanese usually do not have to go back after watching with tags such as "jp-art" etc., so it takes a little work, but I think almost all the steemians using #japanese tag so I think it is not too annoying. I think that the problem is an apps such as a smartphone or tablet, but I think that tag will be useful if the more people participate in #japanese community.

②I think the community of "#japanese" basically will be written in Japanese, but if people from overseas who participate with the tag of "jp-●●●", I think we need to try to communicate with those people who have interest in Japanese stuff!

③ I wonder if someone starts using tags like "jp-art" or "jp-cooking", and they prefer not to use other tags or japanese tags... then hmmm.... not sure what we can do...
But I think everyone can click or choose #japanese" tag easily so I think it doesn't become so big problem... what do you think?

Regarding this tagging, I think we can say "data classification", and by preparing some tags and gathering similar articles, it is possible to raise the communication within that group, as a result, I think it will become a structure that increases the community.

I can see everyone enjoy chatting or communicate each other as a friend or from same SNS or something, but with such a tag connection, people who don't have any friend come to steemit easy to join the community from a small group I think. Which is also good.

So... these are my opinion about creating tags for Japanese community. I think organizing this tag is the easiest way to make the current community exciting at least right now except any other event or... etc.

The other day when I asked a small question to @ kinakomochi and he said he is thinking about to make "jp-art" tag too. so how about start with like "jp-art" , "jp-food" "jp-travel" "jp-life" "jp-crypt" or something like that?

It should not be too much, so let's say about 10 or something at most... But I think we need to discuss it :)

So what about starting with about 5 tags I wrote above?

If I want to post about food to the world, I will use the "food" tag, and for Japanese community, will choose "jp-food". If people who want to get crypt currency information, then search for "jp-crypt" tags, then they can find useful information like from @yasu24 or @piercesword will appear on the same screen at one time. (if they use "jp-●●●" tag though)

Of course, I should make sure you can use tags freely.

So... I think it would be better to think about this before more people coming...
