I find swimming is enjoyable although myself lernt when I was over 30 y.o. In my son't school they had swimming lessons but nobody really bothered if children learn or not, so my husband had to teach our son as well as he taught me too. My son likes swimming but it is not his favorite sport :)
Your husband is good at swimming, that is good! My husband can not swim very well, so he can not teach his son swimming.
I learned swimming when I was a child, but I did not like it :(
