This is my 2nd post.

おおきなかぶ (ookinakabu, The Giant Turnip) ***recommended
- Sashimi (raw sliced fish), rice, and many healthy Japanese small dishes
- ~10 lunch set with the choice of adding tempura (fried fish) or more
- 800-1000 JPY lunch (low price for sashimi)
- ~10 tables
- 2 minutes walk from 神宮丸太町駅 (Jingu Marutamachi Station)
シェ・ラ・メール (CHEZ LA MERE)
- cake shop with 4 tables
- 10+ cakes
- very cute interior
- 300-600 JPY cut cake
- 8 minutes walk from 神宮丸太町駅 (Jingu Marutamachi Station)
アイタルガボン (ItalGabon)
- 900-1000 JPY lunch set (pasta, small bread, salad, and drink)
- 2 pasta sets & 2 panini sets (small variety)
- Drinks (espresso recommended) usually cost 300+ JPY, so it is very reasonable.
- 6 tables but many tables are reserved when I visited
- 4 minutes walk from 神宮丸太町駅 (Jingu Marutamachi Station)
七福家 (shichifukuya)
- 750-1000 JPY Chinese lunch set
- 10 lunch sets & much more dinner plates
- smoking allowed :-(
- bar seat (~5 people) or tatami (~10 tables)

Bistro Verjus ***recommended
- French
- full-courses and some meals are 2000-3000 JPY for lunch, 3000-6000 for dinner!
- HOWEVER, many meals are 1000 JPY for lunch
- AND, 晩ごはんセット (ban gohan set, supper set) is 1000 JPY for dinner!
- 5 tables (small, family-run bistro)
- simple & beautiful interior

京大病院職員食堂 (Kyoto University Hospital Staff Canteen)
- canteen for hospital staffs and students! You cannot use it :-p
- 300-500 JPY for lunch & supper
- 7 minutes walk from 神宮丸太町駅 (Jingu Marutamachi Station)
梅園 (umezono) at 三条寺町(Sanjo Teramachi) or 河原町(Kawaramachi)
- gorgeous shaved ice & みたらし団子 (rice dumpling with sweet soy sauce)
- Sanjo Teramachi store is larger and newer.
- 500-800 JPY rice dumpling with sweet soy sauce
- 700-1000 JPY shaved ice
- You need to wait standing in a narrow corridor at Kawaramachi store (~10 tables)
- 6 minutes walk from 三条駅 (Sanjo Station) to both.
微風台南 tears2 (bifu tainan tears2) **recommended
- Taiwanese
- 400(small)-800(large) JPY for don (bowl) for lunch & dinner
- very low price in Kyoto!
- many side dish for lunch & dinner (400-600 JPY)
- many plates for dinner
- Chinese radio is a bit loud.
- tatami floor, very old-fashioned house

cafe kanade
- Japanese lunch set, pasta, or light meals
- 800-1000 JPY only 3 lunch sets when I visited
- 100 JPY small pudding
- 5 tables, a bit crammed

からふね屋(Karafuneya) at 熊野 (Kumano) or 三条 (Sanjo)
- Parfait
- 100+ parfaits
- Sanjo store is bigger and has more variety.
- 700-1000 JPY parfaits
- 50000 JPY largest parfait for 20-25 people (must be reserved in 7+ days)
- Sanjo store is 4 minutes walk from 三条駅 (Sanjo Station).
- Kumano store is 8 minutes walk from 神宮丸太町駅 (Jingu Marutamachi Station)
Very Berry Cafe
- pancake or light meals
- 950 JPY don (bowl)
- 1100 JPY dinner plates

- American style interior

カフェショコラ (Cafe Chocolat) **recommended
- light meals (NOT chocolate cafe!)
- very cute interior (except ceiling!)
- 1000 JPY lunch
- 1800 JPY dinner
- plate dinner, pizza, pasta are 1000 JPY for dinner
- 7 minutes walk from 三条駅 (Sanjo Station)
Cao Cafe Ishikawa
- light meals for lunch, bar at night
- 800-1000 JPY lunch
- slenderlong store, simple interior
- bar seat & 4 sofa
- 7 minutes walk from 烏丸御池駅 (Karasuma Oike Station)
キルフェボン (Qu'il fait bon)
- tarts
- 600-900 JPY cut tart
- ~10 tables
- 3 minutes walk from 三条駅 (Sanjo Station)
CHANDER
- Indian curry
- 45 curries with nan (bread)
- 750-1200 JPY
- 7 minutes walk from 神宮丸太町駅 (Jingu Marutamachi Station)
ピニョ食堂 (Pinyo canteen)
- Korean soup with healthy small dishes
- lightly flavored and you can add seasonings.
- 850-1100 JPY
- very small bar seat (~5 people), staffs are too close.
- 5 minutes walk from 三条駅 (Sanjo Station)
ベルアメール (Bel Amer) **recommended
- chocolate specialty cafe & shop
- Parfait is recommended (other 2 chocolate cafes below has no parfaits).
- Other 2 are Mariebelle & JEAN-PAUL HÉVIN
- 1300-1400 JPY parfait
- 850-1000 JPY hot/cold chocolate drink
- ~5 tables
- Do not confuse waiting people for cafe with waiting people for shopping! Ask staffs! Avoid 13:00-15:00.

マリベル (Mariebelle)
- chocolate specialty cafe & shop
- 750-1200 JPY hot/cold chocolate drink
- These Chocolate drinks may be so spicy that you may feel sick.

- very near Bel Amer
- ~5 tables
- Cacaomarket by Mariebelle (3 minutes walk from 祇園四条駅 (Gion Shijo Station)) has a very fantastic secret underground room named "angel library", which I have not visited.
ジャンポールエヴァン (JEAN-PAUL HÉVIN)
- chocolate specialty cafe & shop
- 650-1400 JPY chocolate cakes (many)
- 600-900 JPY chocolate drinks
- ~10 tables
- very near Mariebelle
- 8 minutes walk from 三条駅 (Sanjo Station)
ねこ会議 (nekokaigi, cat conference)
- most reputable cat cafe in Kyoto (maybe)
- 900 JPY/hour
- 200-300 JPY drink only (not mandatory)
- You cannot use sofa without drink (But you can use bar seat).
- 5-8 cats are at the same time.
- Cats here somehow like base of their tail, not head.
- You can see "conference participation fee" in receipt.

- You can order customized sandwiches (400-500 JPY)

- Tarts in showcase are excellent (250-350 JPY).
