RE: 長浜城下で鮒寿司を喰らう#1 I Ate Funa-zushi in the Castle Town of Nagahama#1 / HK-JP-SG Cross-Community Challenge

This is the first time I have ever seen funa-zushi. Is it really sour in taste and smell?

Perhaps fermentation gives enough sourness to funa-zushi, rice does not need any extra vinegar. Informative!

Can I say ookini in Shiga prefecture to thank people? :-)

Sort:

As you say, funa-zushi does not need adding any seasoning agents.
And you can say "Ookini" in Shiga as well as Osaka and Kyoto.
