Japanese fortress on Sabang Island, Aceh_Indonesia

When the Japanese landed on Sabang island on 11 and 12 March 1942, they began to build fortresses across the coast of Weh Island to prepare for the Asian-Asian warfare, equipped with guns anti warships that will medatangi Pulau tersbut. Japanese troops made Sabang a military port and the air defense line of the front faced the threat of an ally from the west.

After the Japanese troops, there was massive destruction due to the bombing by the allies which caused the international port of Sabang to close, which is why Japanese soldiers built fortresses as well as bunkers around the shoreline and hills of Sabang to strengthen their defenses.

the bunkers serve as reconnaissance posts to mengasipasi attack enemies from the sea.

the remains of this bunker can also be witnessed until now if you go around this weh island or can be called sabang, among them we can see the alleyway that is on the road derived to the sea lake and also along the coast of Sabang fair, and also there are many other bunkers that we hardly mention one by one.
