The hard tops are the ones to have, so you can have AC and be able to lock the thing up. Without a hard top, its easy to break into and steal. They also made Diesel versions for the central american and south american markets. Not sure if they had them in Africa or the ME. They usually use toyota landcruisers and older diesel Land Rovers. My neighbor has a few, he keeps patching together to make one out of.
I had heard about the diesel motor in other parts of the world and wish mine had one. Dont forget how used the toyota pickup and tacoma is in the middle east. I always thought the 20/22r motor was easy to work on until i came across suzuki´s L4.
