Soprano and Jazz Piano at Todaiji　｜　ソプラノとジャズピアノ・東大寺本坊でのコンサート

On May 19th I was performance in a concert at Todaiji in Nara.

19日は奈良・東大寺本坊でのコンサートでした。

It was the first day of the music festival in Todaiji, which is held for three months from May 19th to August 19th.

5月19日から8月19日までの三ヶ月間にわたって行われる、東大寺本坊でのコンサートシリーズのトップバッターです。

The venue was full. As it was a classical performance on the first day, I usually wear rough clothes, but today I played in a tuxedo.

会場は満席御礼、初日でもあり、クラシックの演奏なので、普段はラフな服装の僕も、今日はタキシードで演奏しました。

It was raining in the weather forecast. From the morning the sky was cloudy, but when the concert started, it was sunny and the blue sky was visible, it became a concert in a very beautiful scenery.

天気予報では雨、朝から曇でしたが、コンサートが始まると晴れて青空が見えて、とても美しい景色の中でのコンサートになりました。

In a concert with the aim of collaborating with classical music and jazz, I corrected all the voice songs to codename, a long interlude to the song of a wonderful opera singer, Kumiko Takano, accompanied by ad lib from the beginning to the end did.

クラシック音楽とジャズのコラボレーションという趣旨のコンサートで、素晴らしいオペラ歌手、髙野久美子さんの歌に、僕は、声楽曲を全部コードネームに直し、間奏も長くとって、最初から最後までアドリブで伴奏しました。

In this concert, when I was playing, I could see the blue sky, the wind was blowing on the singing voice of Kumiko Takano, I heard the voice of the birds, I felt like I was really flying in the sky. The image got up and I was able to play with a very happy feeling.

このコンサートでは、弾いていると、青空が見えて、髙野さんの歌声に乗せて風が吹いてきて、小鳥の声が聞えて、本当に空を飛んでいるような気持ちになってきて、湧き上がるイメージと、とても幸せな気持ちで演奏をすることができました。

Especially at the end, "Sakura Sakura" of the encore song, I got inspirationvery much!

特に最後、アンコール曲の「さくらさくら」では、自分でも演奏をコントロールできなくなるくらいのインスピレーションに襲われました。

"Sakura Sakura" is an old Japanese song

「さくらさくら」は日本の古い歌です。

It was a very happy concert for me.

The next Todaiji Honbo Concert will be June 2. Next time is a jazz concert. I will do my best again.

本当に幸せなコンサートでした。

次回の東大寺本坊コンサートは６月２日。気持ちを引き締めてまたがんばります。
