Taroyaki 太郎焼き

Kawaguchi's specialty, Taroyaki. In Japan the name is different depending on the region. Imagawayaki, Obanyaki, etc, I like the name Gozasorou.

川口の名物、太郎焼きです。
みなさんの住んでいる所ではこれをなんていいますか?
今川焼き?大判焼き?自分としては御座候とう名称が好きです。

Kawaguchi Station 's Deck 2F and Taro yaki' s shops are directly connected.

川口駅のデッキ2Fと太郎焼きの店舗が直通になっています。

This shop also sells Taiyaki.

The bean paste is clogged inside.
Azuki beans' texture, salty balanced bean jam is matched and tasty.

中を割るとあんこがびっしり詰まってます。
柔らかな生地に、小豆の食感、甘味、塩気のバランスが取れた餡がマッチして美味しいです。

佐世保では回転焼きという名前ですね。「一休」というお店が有名です。あと「御座候屋」というお店もありますが、そこも商品名は「回転焼き」です。

御座候屋なのに名称は回転焼きなんですね
面白いですね。

I don't like store-bought treats with anko inside. It's too sweet for me. (I prefer making it myself at home without sugar) My son and wife on the other hand... they love it!

Certainly the store anko may be too sweet. Anko here is delicious with reasonable sweetness. But it may be best to make anko at home like you.
