Shabu Shabu (Japanese hot pot) しゃぶしゃぶ

I came to the shabu-shabu shop.
It's one type of hot pot that you dip a slice of pork and/or beef, and tofu, and some vegetables, into the boiled water, and serve yourself with sauce when you think it's ready to eat.

しゃぶしゃぶ屋さんに来ました。

A clerk puts soup in it. This time I ordered kelp soup stock and soy sauce based soup.

スープを入れてくれます。
今回頼んだのは昆布だしのスープとしょうゆベースのスープです。

I ordered pork this time.

豚肉を頼みました。

Put a thin slice of meat into a hot pot.
Swish it back and force several times until the meat turns pink.
Then dip it in sauce and eat it.
Sauce is Ponzu and sesame sauce

薄切り肉を鍋の中に浸けます。
肉がピンク色になるまで何度かくぐらせます。
タレにつけて食べます。

The pork becomes so tasty as the extra fat taken away during “Shabu-Shabu” process.

しゃぶしゃぶはお肉の脂を流しだすので、さっぱりといただけていいですね。
