Have you ever had sweet potato before?
I am not talking about the actual potato, it is popular sweets in Japan!
If you are in Japan, it will be easy for you to found the sweet potato even at seven eleven!
However this sweet potato is not something you can found anywhere!
This one is Obihiro Hokkaido exclusive sweet potato :)

What is sweet potato? Sweet potato is made of mashed sweet potato with cream, sugar, vanilla and other ingredient.
Stuffed on the sweet potato skin with brush of beaten egg and baked it until top is nice and golden brown!
That is the basic one! ON THE OTHER HAND, This sweet potato is HUGE and super creamy and smooth, the bottom has nice custard cream to give extra rich and milky accent to the sweet potato :D
The cake shop is mainly make this sweet potato and sell it by pound, it is pricey yet it's truly worth buying it!

そこで有名なスイートポテト専門店”クランベリー”を今日は紹介しますね♬
まず、北海道の人たちはクランベリーのスイートポテトを貰ったら大喜びします！
多分ですが知らない人の方が少ないと思われるレベルで、北海道ではかなり有名なお菓子屋さんなんです(´▽｀)

ここのスイートポテトはすごく大きいのです！
私の顔で比べてみたのですが大きさが伝わりませんね・・・３０センチくらいあります！
なので、知らない人がただのスイートポテトだと思って箱を開けたら相当驚くと思いますよ(^∇^)
大きさだけではなくて味もおいしいです、クリーミーでさつま芋の味がしっかり感じられ、バターのとろけそうな風味とバニラが口いっぱいに広がります！
下にはカスタードクリームが敷いてあり、また違ったクリーミーさで楽しませてくれるのです♬
本物の皮を下にしいているのでいつもその大きさに驚かされています！

If you ever go to Hokkaido Japan, please do not only go to main city Sapporo!
Please make time to visit Obihiro too!
They have very good sweets and this is one of very popular sweets there, so people from Hokkaido loves to receive them as souvenir!
It's that good ;)

北海道に来た際は札幌や有名な観光地以外に帯広にも足を運んでみてください！
一生に一度は食べてほしい一品です♬

Ok, I have another story for you. About ten years ago when my wife and I visited Nara, there was an old lady selling roasted sweet potatoes on the path to Todaiji. I looked at the sign and thought it said ¥200 for a giant sweet potato. I mean giant. The size of a 500ml bottle of water. I asked my wife if I was reading the Japanese right and she said I was. So I asked to buy it, and... the old woman charged like ¥1200 for it! Evidently she was selling by weight. I bought it anyway. So that was one very expensive potato! (but it was very good)

It was very good. And we were both cold, so it warmed us up. So yeah, it was worth it. Still—these days I am more careful when I buy from street vendors ;)
