本日紹介するのはベルギのビールである「グロス・ベルタ」です。

グロス・バルサ(ベルタ)は第1次世界大戦で登場したドイツ軍の420ミリ口径大砲の名前です。これの登場により、ドイツから120キロ離れたパリに砲撃がなされるようになったそうです。またドイツベルギーのリエージュに侵攻し、大砲グロスバルサを使用して、リエージュの要塞を落としたという歴史もあるそうです。ミリタリーファンの方はご存知かもしれませんね！

そんな大砲のようにがっつりと飲み応えを感じられるグロス・ベルタはアルコール7パーセント。タイプとしてはベルギーのスタイル、トリプルとドイツのスタイル、ヴァイツェンを掛け合わせたハイブリッドなベルギービールです。
このビールは無濾過でスパイスを使用していないので、より本物らしい小麦の味を感じられます。さらにトリプルの飲みごたえも併せ持っているため、ホワイトでありながら味は単調ではありません。最初にホワイトのバナナっぽいフレーバーが鼻を抜け、喉にくるのはトリプルの飲みごたえ、というような印象を受けました。

ブラッセルズビアプロジェクトは常にクラフトビールを進化させ続ける革新的な集団です。毎年４つの試作品を作り、テイスティングイベントでファンの投票により商品化が決まるという面白いことをやっています。

2013年にベルギーの首都ブリュッセルでブラッセルズ ビアプロジェクト(BRUSSELS BEER PROJECT)は立ち上がりました。このプロジェクトの目的は、ベルギービールの巧みさと、新しいクラフトビールの流れの両方に感化された、型にとらわれないビールを、消費者とともに造りだすこと。元々ビールマニアであり、ホームブリュワーでもあったセバスチャン氏とオリビエ氏の二人は、生化学や醸造学（Biochemistry & Zymurgy）を学びプロジェクトを立ち上げました。彼らはインダストリアルなビールを嫌い、クリエイティブでクラフトなブリュワーでありたいと熱く語ります。原材料は全て公開し、伝統的なレシピにとらわれずチャレンジを続ける、全く新しいタイプの醸造家プロジェクトです。

ブラッセルズ ビアプロジェクトは1年で4種類のプロトタイプ（試作品）ビールを醸造します。ブリュッセル各所でテイスティングイベントを開催、1年目の2013年は800人、2年目の今年は1000人以上が参加しました。もちろん参加したのはビールに精通したブリュッセルっ子達ばかり。参加者投票によってNO1ビールを選出し、見事No1に輝いたビールだけが、正式に醸造され販売されるという、ファン参加型のユニークなプロジェクトです。

ブラッセルズビアプロジェクトは常に面白く新しいクラフトビールの創造を行なっているので今後も注目です！

Gross Bertha)is the name of the German 420 mm cannon artillery that appeared in the First World War. With the advent of this, it seems that she was bombarded in Paris, 120 km away from Germany. Since this beer is non-filtered and does not use spice, you can feel the taste of wheat which seems more authentic. Furthermore, because it also has a triple drinking and giving, although the taste is white, the taste is not monotonous. First I got the impression that a white banana-like flavor goes through my nose and that my throat comes in for a triple drink.

Brussels beer project is an innovative group that constantly evolves craft beer. Every year we make 4 prototypes and we do an interesting thing that commercialization is decided by voting by fans at the tasting event.

In 2013 Brussels beer project (BRUSSELS BEER PROJECT) started in Brussels, the capital city of Belgium. The aim of this project is to create a type-free beer with consumers that is inspired by the skill of Belgian beer and the flow of new craft beer. Mr. Sebastian and Mr. Olivier who were originally a beer mania and also a home brewer studied biochemistry and brewing science (Biochemistry & Zymurgy) and set up a project. They dislike industrial beers and talk hotly that they want to be a creative and craft brewer. It is an entirely new type of brewer project that exposes all raw materials and continues to challenge without regard to traditional recipes.

The Brussels beer project brews four types of prototype (prototype) beer in a year. Tasting events were held in various places in Brussels, 800 people in 2013 in the first year and over 1000 people this year in the second year. Of course, only the Brussels children familiar with beer participated. It is a unique fan-participating project that selects NO1 beer by participant vote and only beer that got splendid No.1 is officially brewed and sold.

The Brussels beer project is constantly drawing attention as it constantly creates new craft beers funny!
