【ENG/JPN】Mikoshi Carrying Festival／お神輿

Last week I was going to buy BTC and STEEM but I dropped my phone, my display crashed and was not able to open the 2FA app, I could do nothing. I bought a new phone and finally salvaged my data a few minutes ago but the price is rising and now it is hard to get it in :(

Anyways, yesterday I joined a traditional festival and today I would like to introduce about it, which is called "Mikoshi Carrying Festival". To say simple, "Mikoshi" is a portable shrine where a "God" is placed. "God" usually stays inside the shrine but gets out and uses "Mikoshi" as a vehicle to move around the community. People carries "Mikoshi" with their shoulders with respect to God and visits every place of the community and the community prays for the harvest and to cleanse the impure.
"Mikoshi" in Japanese is "神輿", which "神” means "God" and "輿" means "litter(vehicle)"
Japanese believes in the existence of myriad deities and you can see many "Mikoshi" and many festivals in this season.

To carry the "Mikoshi", you have to belong to a professional group and wear the "Hanten" costume.

"Mikoshi" will go back to the shrine at the end of the event and waits for next years festival.

If you have chance to stay in Japan, especially in Tokyo, and interested in "Mikoshi", there is an event of "International Mikoshi Festival" for foreigners. It is held every 1st Saturday in September. This year finished already and you must join next year for the great experience.

日本のsteemianの皆様こんにちわ！
先週bitcoinとSTEEMを購入しようと思ったら携帯を落として画面が破壊され、取引所に設定している二段階認証のアプリを開けずに購入できませんでした。そして新しい携帯を買い、先ほどようやくデータを自力で復旧させたのですが、値段が上がってしまいなかなか手が出せなくなってしまいました。。。

それはさておき、昨日神輿を担ぐお祭りに参加しましたので簡単に紹介できればと思います。
日本人の皆様は神輿がどんなものかある程度理解されていると思いますが、簡単に言うと祭りのときの神様の乗り物になります。人々が神輿を担いで町内を練り歩き、神様の力で豊作や穢れを清めることをお祈りするのが目的だったと思います。
神輿を担いでいないときも決して地面には降ろさず、「馬」と呼ばれる木製の台の上に載せます。

神輿を担ぐには「睦会（むつみかい）」という会に所属する必要があり、その会の半纏を羽織ることになります。お祭りに行くといろいろな半纏を見かけることがあると思いますが、その会によって半纏は違いますので、それぞれのデザインを見るのもおもしろいかもしれないですね。
睦会に所属までしなくても、半纏を借りられれば神輿を担げる祭りもあると思います。

私が昨日参加した祭りでは、地元の睦会がよその地区の睦会をご招待し、その方々に神輿を担いでいただきます。
上の動画をご覧いただくと紫のたすきをかけている人がいると思いますが、その人が地元の会の人で、基本的には神輿を担ぐことはなく主に神輿を誘導したりするような役割を担います。
実は私もそのたすきをかけているほうでありますので、昨日は神輿を担ぐことはありませんでした。

この時期は各所でお祭りがあり、来週以降は私が所属している会がご招待されて各地の祭りに参加し、神輿を担ぐこととなります。
私はこれまで他の地区の祭りに参加することがあまりできていませんでしたので、今年はなるべく参加するようにしたいと思っています。（来週再来週はすでに参加不可確定）

神輿を担いで練り歩くときは、休憩スポットが随所にあるのですが、そこで「お接待」と言って、その休憩先の地域の方たちが担ぎ手に軽めのご飯だったりきゅうりだったりスイカだったり飲み物をふるまってくれます。
場所によってはおいしいご飯も出てきたりしますので、そのような場所は大変人気になります(笑)

たまに揉め事が起きたりということもありますが、それ含めて神輿の間近で大迫力の光景を見れるのはすごく楽しいです。
