Kinakomochi, Ueno Daibutsu seemed like a very peaceful place. The surroundings are lovely and one with nature. Where was the face of Daibutsu before it fell. You had mentioned that there once was a statue. Did the statue break leaving only the face? Some times having the face close can be more meaningful to some. Thank-you. I loved your post! :D
During the Pacific War the fuselage parts were collected by the military as military metal resources. Therefore, the body part does not exist. Thank you!
Oh, I am so sorry. War is so destructive and unnecessary. Using the metal from the body is so sad for the people. The Ueno Daibutsu should serve all of us as a reminder that we must live in peace!
