AMAZON PLANS TO PROMOTE ITS OWN POP-UP BAR IN JAPAN
Amazon makes another push towards promoting alcoholic beverages on its platform through a pop-up bar in Tokyo, Japan.
The e-commerce mammoth will open its "Amazon Bar" on 20 October for 10 days. Situated in Ginza, an upscale shopping and area in South Eastern Tokyo, the bar will serve wine, mixed drinks & other selected items.
Rather than a menu, the bar will recommend drinks to customers. Amazon's only Brick & Mortar projects have been bookstores so this is something new for the multi-billion dollar company.
