Stacked shoulder to shoulder its impossible to even see the glow of the screens as an announcer commentates on the action.
Men carrying shoulder bags filled with prized arcade cards won from the neon cabinets.
These arcades sometimes open for 24 hours a day and are constantly filled with people queuing to wait their turn.
yeah its crazy how many people in Japan enjoy the classic arcade games! The last arcade spot from the town I am in announced that they are closing down
Its also strange how arcades are generally dying around the world but people in Japan still love their arcades. They constantly release new arcade games as well.
I guess its all about their culture. I would say if we had a arcade spot that held tournaments and gave out good prizes it would be popular here
That's very true and I have to agree! Its all about the community. Also Japan feels very cyber punk as they still use fax machines and arcades despite being so technologically advanced.
