Top 4 Favorite Restaurants in Japan (other than curry) (Notes from Under the Tatami Mats–57 … My Adventures in Japan)

in #japan6 years ago

Food that is true to the original, yet unique. And exquisitely delicious.

If there’s one thing the Japanese know and love, it’s food. And not only sushi and ramen.

Divine cuisine

The Japanese might have a greater appreciation of fine cuisine than even the most gastronomic of Europeans. In fact, when the esteemed French chef Paul Bocuse recently passed away, many Japanese chefs mourned what they called “the death of god.”   (Image source)

Worldly delights

In any Japanese city with a population of, say, 500,000 or more, you can easily find any number of high-quality restaurants serving fine cuisine that ranks with that served in the west.

Be it French, Italian, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Mexican, or whatever, you’ll get food that is true to the original yet unique. And exquisitely delicious.

The chefs at these types of restaurants are often foreign-trained (and incredibly well-trained), and their cuisine is generally high quality. Without a doubt, you’ll get what you pay for, and possibly a bit more.  (Image source)

I have never had a Japanese meal but with what I've read here it should taste great like the few Chinese meal I have had. Perhaps I will eat in one of these restaurants when my time to travel the world comes. Thanks for sharing yet another great note.

Cool restaurant collection bro.

Japan is my dream city to be with but it isn't expensive?

Not so expensive. It's economy has been suffering deflation for over 2 decades now, so there's much that is quite cheap.

By the way, it's not a "city."

It is an Asian country.

lol

Holy.. Best chinese food in .... Japan,.. no... Asia

I dont know why I laugh while reading it. haha.
Dont know how to cross out the word like you did, either. lol.

Glad you enjoyed it.

As for the crossing-out, I did that on a WORD document, then made the screenshot.

Do you use Microsoft WORD on you laptop? DO you use a laptop, or only a phone?

This is nice. Looking forward to what's coming soon.

The second one looks so delectable. Japanese cuisine is one of my favorite food aside from Italian and Philippine cuisines. Not only it is delicious, but it's also healthy.
