Sounds like you've got a good thing going. I think the sharing culture over here is very nice as well, but learning how to read the signals that govern it, when it is okay to say no, etc, has taken me some time to figure out. I still tend to miss the cues pretty frequently. Reading between the lines requires a lot of cultural literacy.
