A steemit janitor is different from a steemit janitor

I kinda dived in late for today's #steemgigs voice talk session with @surpassinggoogle, partly due to the fact that i could not really calculate the time difference between Nigeria and the Philippines and the FA cup finals between Manchester United and Chelsea. A game that Chelsea eventually won by 1 0 all thanks to a first half penalty won and converted by Eden Hazard.

I joined the voice talk when Terry was talking about various kinds of followers he has come to see on steemit. He said there is the first kind of followers who just talk about your photo or a the first few lines of your post. Then there is another group who would actually read through your posts and try to engage you with nice comments in your comment box. He also talked about another group of followers who would read through his posts, come to him in chats to ask about what he talked about in his posts but this set are not persistent...and then there is the persistent type that won't stop engaging him in chats, they dig deeper into his history, find something about him and in no time they become like him, they begin to talk the way he talks and so on. This is the set that sticks to his heart.

I really felt like i had missed so much, considering how much i learnt from the previous session which was my first.

Terry also spoke about how important it is for one to engage the human in people, how important it is to being you, having your own dreams and goals and actually building them.

If you haven't heard Terry speak before then you won't fully grasp these things i have highlighted. He speaks in deep but yet simple terms and at a point he pieced through the human in me.

Every day of my life i am in pain, the kind of pain you feel and you don't remember to eat.

I tried to put myself in his shoes to see how it felt like to actually be him, to connect to the human in him, i just couldn't. Maybe because i haven't felt as much pain as he has felt and is still feeling or i am just unable to come to terms with how someone can pass through all that he has passed through and still be this inspiring, still be the giver a man that he is? How can he still be so passionately about seeing others grow?

i feel like a 60 year old man, all i have got in this life is steem.

i don't have a phone, the phone i use now i picked it up somewhere, an old phone and i think it has memory issues.

Can you imagine that? Yeah, that was Terry @surpassinggoogle talking. How amazing can a human be? Is he even human?

I listen to this man every time and i just wonder, he leaves me with too many loosed ends that i really can't put together.
He is just a gift to humanity, the kind that just keeps giving and i feel privileged to have found a human like him, not steemit, it is the humans on here that make this place what it is.
