El avatar Aang en modo avatar, esta bajo una dimensión espiritual que le permite estar en armonía con los 4 elementos que rigen esta tierra, aire, agua, fuego, tierra, dándole control total de cada uno. El modo avatar trae consigo gran poder, pero una gran debilidad ya que es el guardián de mantener el orden de las cosas, en caso de morir en modo avatar, se perderá la su sección de guardianes.
