It is said that its name derives from an ancient legend that dates back to the Middle Ages, where the Latin poet Virgilio, who was also considered a magician, hid an egg in the castle to protect the whole fortress, and in case the egg broke, on the city of Naples a series of catastrophes would have happened.

Si dice che il suo nome derivi da una leggenda antica risalente al periodo storico del medioevo, dove il poeta latino Virgilio, che era considerato anche un mago, nascondeva un uovo nel castello per proteggere tutta la fortezza, e nel caso l' uovo si fosse rotto, sulla città di Napoli si sarebbero succedute una serie di catastrofi.

This castle is located in the Gulf of Naples, and is the oldest in the city, it is not complicated to get there because it is well connected with different neighborhoods of the capital Campano.

Questo castello è situato nel golfo di Napoli, ed è il più antico della città, non è complicato arrivarci perché ben collegato con diversi quartieri del capoluogo Campano.

The castle joins the city's promenade through a bridge over the sea, where we find various commercial activities such as bars, restaurants and shops for boating, so the place is always busy throughout the day.

Il castello si unisce al lungomare della città attraverso un ponte sul mare, dove troviamo diverse attività commerciali come bar, ristoranti e negozi per la nautica, di conseguenza il posto resta sempre movimentato durante tutta la giornata.

The castle can also be visited, among the things that can attract the attention of tourists, there are the cells carved into the rock, the Church of the Savior, the Norman Tower, the Tower Maestra and the beautiful terrace from which you can admire all the gulf . There are also spaces and rooms that can be used for business meetings, catering etc ...

Il castello può essere anche visitato, tra le cose che più possono attirare l'attenzione dei turisti, ci sono le celle scavate nella roccia, la chiesa del Salvatore, la Torre Normanna, la Torre Maestra e la splendida terrazza dalla quale si può ammirare tutto il golfo. Sono presenti anche degli spazi e delle sale che possono essere utilizzate per riunioni di lavoro,
catering etc...
