Tutti gli appassionati di musica hanno la loro Band preferita , quella che più di tutti riesce a trasmettergli forti emozioni , oppure prediligono un cantante particolare , il motivo di queste preferenze possono essere diversi , restiamo magari incantati dalla voce oppure ci piace in particolare uno strumento , a qualcuno la batteria ad altri le tastiere ed a moltissimi il suono della chitarra , possiamo apprezzare magari il particolare modo di suonare quel determinato strumento ed emozionarci per degli assoli da brividi.

Oggi però voglio immaginare una Band molto particolare che come dice il titolo è la mia Band da Sogno !.

Il suo nome è The Crazy , magari esiste davvero un gruppo con questo nome ahahahah , ma la mia fantasia ha voluto soprannominarli così ”Il Folle” , proprio come il sottoscritto che ha immaginato voli pindarici , perché la Band che sto creando ci farà volare !.

Storia della Band

Il Gruppo nasce dalla mente malata di un appassionato di musica che saputo dell’uscita di Peter Gabriel dai Genesis gli propone quest’idea bizzarra , quella di di provare a formare un gruppo musicale che si chiamerà The Crazy , Gabriel sembra interessato all’idea ma giustamente si chiede con quali altri nomi illustri del mondo del rock dovrà suonare , gli viene detto che il nome del bassista c’è già in quanto Waters lasciati i Pink Floyd aveva dato la sua adesione per un eventuale gruppo da creare in quanto era in cerca di un qualcosa di nuovo e di nuove idee nel panorama musicale , Gabriel appena sentito pronunciato il nome di Waters gli è bastato solo un attimo per dare parere favorevole all’idea.

Con due soli nomi di certo l’idea di quel folle appassionato non poteva diventare concreta , quindi conoscendo bene il panorama musicale italiano ed amando follemente la Premiata Forneria Marconi interpella Mauro Pagani che era stato un ex membro della mitica band progressive italiana , per convincerlo il folle aveva come asso nella manica l’amicizia di Jan Anderson che cercava un’alternativa al percorso musicale che stava compiendo assieme ai suoi Jethro Tull , sapendo anche dell’amicizia tra i due il folle sognava da parecchio tempo di fondere all’interno di un gruppo il magico suono emesso dai violini con quello dei Flauti , chi meglio di loro due poteva farlo ?.

Incredulo ed eccitato da come procedeva il suo progetto il folle si trovò quindi con l’avere già 4 nomi sicuri , ora i posti rimasti vuoti erano per tre strumenti , tastiere , chitarra e batteria.

Per il batterista gli venne in mente Portnoy che aveva appena lasciato i Dream Theater sapendo anche delle stima che Mike nutriva verso i Pink e per Waters decise di contattarlo , l’idea risultò davvero azzeccatissima.

Rimanevano Tastiere e Chitarre , per le tastiere immaginando quello che aveva in mente decise di associare allo stile e alla voce di Gabriel un altro grande del panorama Progressive Rick Wakeman uscito da poco dagli Yes , mentre per il posto da chitarrista scelse di provare a convincere Jimmy Page perché lo riteneva la miglior scelta per mischiare le influenze decisamente prog della nascente band con una chitarra molto più graffiante e dallo stile Hard.

Wakeman come previsto non esitò , il pensiero di suonare con musicisti del calibro di Gabriel , Anderson e Pagani lo intrigava molto.

Per Page invece è stato più difficile , inizialmente titubante in quanto amava molto il progetto dei suoi Led Zeppelin , però anche per lui l’idea di suonare a grossi nomi del panorama rock lo fecero optare per l’aderire.
Ci sono ora il mio sogno , la mia follia si è compiuta in poco tempo ho riunito 7 mostri musicali in un unico gruppo ed ora sono già in sala di registrazione a strimpellare , non vi dico cosa ne stà uscendo ma se già ero pazzo ora ascoltandoli il mio stato di adrenalina e di follia è al top , gli assoli di Page sono da paura e il contorno che riesce a dargli Anderson col suo violino è la classica ciliegina sulla torta , ma non è finita , quando tutto sembra placarsi ecco il violino di Paganientrare in gioco , wowww che brividi !.
Ora stanno provando un pezzo dal ritmo sostenuto e con la parte di cantato , la voce di Gabriel mi ha sempre scaldato , il brano è da paura , la batteria di Portnoy insieme al basso di Waters mi sembra di rivivere i fasti dei grandi Pink Floyd ma non è ancora l’apoteosi , manca il tocco di barocco , quella classe stilistica che solo Wakeman e le sue tastiere sanno dare.
Non ci vorrà molto per avere da queste 7 colte menti musicali il materiale per incidere il primo disco , siete curiosi di sapere che Titolo avrà l’opera ? , questo la lascio decidere a voi , due sono le opzioni , scegliete voi !.

Incredulous and excited by how his project proceeded the crazy was then found to have already 4 safe names, now the empty places were for three instruments, keyboards, guitar and drums.

Keyboards and Guitars remained, for the keyboards imagining what he had in mind he decided to associate to the style and the voice of Gabriel another great of the Progressive world Rick Wakeman recently released by Yes, while for the guitarist's place he chose to try to convince Jimmy Page because he thought it was the best choice to mix the decisively prog influences of the nascent band with a much more scratchy guitar with a Hard style.
Wakeman did not hesitate as expected, the thought of playing with the likes of Gabriel, Anderson and Pagani intrigued him a lot.
For Page instead it was more difficult, initially hesitant because he loved the project of his Led Zeppelin, but even for him the idea of ​​playing big names in the rock scene made him choose to join.
My dream is now there, my folly has been accomplished in a short time I have assembled 7 musical monsters in a single group and now I'm already in the recording room to strum, I will not tell you what is coming out but if I was already crazy now listening to them my state of adrenaline and madness is at the top, the solos of Page are scary and the outline that manages to give him Anderson with his violin is the classic icing on the cake, but it's not over, when everything seems to subside here is the Pagani violin enter the game, wowww that fantastic!
Now they are trying a song with a sustained rhythm and with the part of the song, Gabriel has always warmed me, the song is scary, the Portnoy battery along with the * Waters * bass seems to me to relive the glories of the great Pink Floyd but it is not yet the apotheosis, lacking the touch of baroque, that stylistic class that only Wakeman and his keyboards can give.
